Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing or using ScanDocfy you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app — that is how you decline. The app is owned and operated by Meigston da Silva Ramos (trading as Meigston Serviços Tech), registered in Brazil under CNPJ 32.598.125/0001-51, at Rua 24 de Maio, 411, Conj. 201, Andar Sobreloja, Cond. Folador, Ed. Bloco Bl A, Rebouças, ZIP 80220-060, Curitiba/PR, Brazil, and can be reached at support@scandocfy.com.

2. What the app does

ScanDocfy scans documents with the camera, corrects perspective, applies filters, recognizes text (OCR), assembles PDFs, lets you sign them, and — on the plans with artificial intelligence — summarizes the document, extracts fields, answers questions and translates the recognized text.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not redistribute, resell, rent or reverse-engineer it, nor remove ownership notices.

4. Your documents are yours

We claim no rights over the documents you scan. They stay on your device — see the Privacy Policy.

In return, you are responsible for what you scan: use the app only on documents you have the right to copy and process, and never to forge a document, fake a signature or for any unlawful purpose.

5. Plans and billing

• Free: shows ads, adds a discreet watermark in the footer of every PDF page, and applies daily limits to OCR and to AI questions.
• Pro Lifetime: a single payment. Removes ads and the watermark, unlocks unlimited OCR, premium filters, high-quality export and unlimited signatures. It is valid forever on the same store account and does not renew. It does not include unlimited artificial intelligence, public links, backup or sync, because those carry a recurring server cost.
• AI+: a subscription. Includes everything in Pro and unlocks unlimited artificial intelligence, chat history, smart organization, public links, backup and sync.

Prices appear on the plans screen in your region's currency, already converted by the store. We may change prices and what each plan includes; changes apply to future purchases and never charge retroactively anyone who has already paid.

6. Renewal and cancellation

The AI+ subscription is charged once for the chosen period and renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.

You cancel through your store account (device Settings on iOS; Google Play on Android) — we have no access to your subscription and cannot cancel it for you. On cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. If you also bought Pro Lifetime, you fall back to Pro, not to Free.

Payments and refunds are processed by Apple or Google under their policies. We neither process payments nor issue refunds directly.

7. About the AI answers

The quality of the result depends on what the text recognition managed to read: a handwritten, blurred, skewed or badly lit document yields worse text and therefore a worse answer.

8. Signing documents

The app's signature is visual: the image you drew is placed over the PDF page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (PAdES, ICP-Brasil or equivalent) and does not by itself carry the presumption of authenticity the law gives those. If your purpose requires a certificate-based signature, use a tool built for that.

9. Availability

The features that run on the device — scanning, PDF, OCR, folders, search and signing — work with no internet connection. The artificial intelligence features depend on our server and on Google's service, and may be unavailable, limited by quota or discontinued. We may interrupt or change the service, with notice where it is reasonable to give it.

10. Warranties and liability

The app is provided "as is", with no warranty that it will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the event.

Nothing in these terms removes the consumer rights your country's law guarantees and that cannot be waived by contract.

11. Backup

Your documents live on your device. Losing, wiping or replacing the device, or uninstalling the app, erases them with no way for us to recover them. Keep a copy of anything important.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top marks the version in force, and any material change will be announced inside the app. Continuing to use the app after that notice means accepting the new version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. For consumer disputes, the courts of the consumer's domicile apply.
